Just back from a nine day trip to Braemar area. It's well known to us but, inexplicably, it's years since we've been there and so it all felt very fresh. Lovely. Now getting organised for another trip away, but I’ll try to write up a few reports before then. Mobile blogging would be so much easier than writing things up when back home.

I am looking forward to reading all about it.
No rest for the wicked!
Alan - This was a 'softies' trip with the motorvan so don't expect tales of tents being blown away in the 'hurricane'!
You did the right thing Gibson. I would have gone i the van too! (If i had one of course).
Like Alan S, we are also looking forward to reading all about it.
Alan - we made the right choice, but the weather was in fact better than expected and except on three days, some wild camps would have been OK. On those days camps would have really been 'wild' but even on one of those days we met a very wet and wind-blasted backpacker heading for Jock's Road. I sort of envied him as we made our way back to the van!
Your photos are lovely. A bit of blue sky does wonders - unlike the november skies we've got here this week. Have we skipped autumn this year and fast forwarded straight to winter?
Thanks Chris. The new header photo is more typical of the weather of late, but it's a warm and sunny here today. Hope it brightens up in your part of the country soon - a bit of sun does lift the spirits!
Look forward to your reports. I had a softie trip to Scotland in our van. My wife is not keen on tents now a days :)
Fortunately we both enjoy backpacking Mark, but love the 'van also. For insurance reasons, combining the two on holiday isn't as easy as with a car though.
