It's a very fine walk out to Glen Bee if you take the right route, but what's missing from this photograph is the presence of...

Upper Glen Devon Reservoir and Burnfoot Windfarm - soon to be extended by 8 turbines |
There will now be a pause in posting, perhaps a very long pause, while I consider the future of this blog. In the interim we will, hopefully, be very active with many plans for day from the 'van trips, island hills (Rum Cuillin, Islay and Jura and of course Skye), the Lake District, some backpacking, and so on. Enjoy summer when it comes!

Are you stopping completely? No disrespect but from your profile youve been around the mountains for a while so why not write about some of your past days in the mountains. i would be interested anyhow.

Hello Anonymous. I'm not stopping blogging, just thinking about the direction in which to take the blog. The 'pause' will only be for as long as it takes to decide what I want to do and I already have a few ideas. I doubt I would want to write much about past days in the hills, great though they were, other than occasionally or as part of a post about a current trip. Mixing old and new in a post might be a good idea I suppose - I'll think about it. Thanks.
Anyway thanks for your interest and there's no need to be Anonymous - even if you disagree with something I post. In fact, I don't think I've had an anonymous comment before!
All sounds interesting. I look forward to seeing what develops. Great picture btw, the one less turbines.
Hi Alan. If I post by mobile when on holiday not much will change but, for my own interest as much as anything else, I need to do something different when writing at home. Just need to see how it goes.
I love a mystery! I'll keep dropping by to see how this one evolves.
Have a great summer, Gibson.
:-)
Nothing much is going to change until after the summer/autumn when I spend more time at home. Lynne has said I should keep posting meantime (and who am I to disagree!) rather than risk losing my vast 'following' -:) so expect the usual mobile stuff which hopefully will be of some interest to some. Enjoy the Challenge Alan, and we will keep an eye out for you in May.
It's your blog, Gibson, and you can do what you like with it. I'll continue to enjoy your entries, however 'occasional' they may be. Have you posted many entries with the ipad mini, btw, and how have you found that gadget? There'll be a beer waiting for you at the Lochailort Hotel on 8th May, as well.
Hello Martin. I've enjoyed reading about your exploits recently but, as I've already said to Conrad, my comments are sometimes appearing incomplete or not at all, so for the moment I've stopped trying. As you can see everything is working on my own blog.
I love my iPad Mini but I don't post much with it because if I want to add a photo or two they have to be taken with the iPad to be available for upload, and I don't generally carry the iPad in the hills. The BlackBerry works fine for my purposes at the moment. Thanks for the offer of a beer in May and if I'm in the area I'll take you up on it.
Thanks Gibson
I'm sending you a separate email.
