Monday 7 September - You’ve got to laugh

  1. They would be funny but it's too serious for that. The 10:00 o' Clock News tonight was dire. Having just had to update from Photoshop Elements 15 to 20 (my new Mac can't run 15) and also the new Organizer I am happy again and admire those creations which probably used that software?

Everything is now transferred satisfactorily with the help of Apple Support and Parallels Support. I run a virtual Windows 10 on a portioned part of the Apple disk using Parallels which I mainly retain for the sake of Memory Map. I was pretty apprehensive ( one gets more so with for ever more trivial reasons with age) but it all went better than expected and I am well pleased.

  2. I understand your view Conrad. The situation is depressingly serious, but I can still laugh at this depiction of how bad a decision it was to leave the EU. I should have left out the ‘True or False’ part which I will now remove.

I’m glad to hear that all is well with your new iMac. I had a few anxious moments myself recently when my iMac refused to accept the password to unlock it. It took two reboots to fix.

  3. Funny but I don’t think Queeny would agree as she was in favour of leaving EU.

  4. Hi Alan - I never read anything that conclusively proved that she supported or opposed Brexit.
Do we really know for sure what she thought?

  5. I was talking to this guy in the pub who said he regularly goes out for a pint with her and can guarantee she wants to leave. Phillip something or other his name was.

    1. That’s that then. Not going to argue with Phil.

  6. Hello - I found your blog on a Google search. I'm with a team recording rock art in the Loch Tay area. In your blog on 26 May last year you say you visited the cup & ring marked stone at Queens Wood, Balmacnaughton. We've just not been able to find that and I wondered if you could help by sending any useful pictures and directions (within Queen's Wood itself) that might help us locate it. If so could email me at : nicholas.parish@yahoo.co.uk
    Thanks!😀

  8. Confession: this Cup and Ring rock turns out not to be the one the team were asking about. I will also have to edit part of my post of last May
