31 March - a British Summer Time walk
British Summer Time, but wintry conditions still prevail even on these relatively low hills.

Hi Gibson,
Even our local (thousand footers) are still holding snow, with quite a few drifts well below the height of the tops. Today we had a couple of, admittedly brief, snow flurries while we were out walking but it's the wind that's the real culprit - an easterly with a really nasty bite.
Plenty of gloves, hats and down jackets out and about this afternoon.
At least we have lost the strong eastery, low down at any rate. The 'spring' ski-touring would be something to look forward to but I'm fairly certain my knee would object to such treatment.
Most of our snow has gone. We still have a bit of the deep drifted snow between the hedgerows, but that’s about it. Still a fierce wind though. Bitter on the tops.

Hello Dave and good to hear from you again.

HI Alan
We've got some lovely crisp cold weather at the moment, but the snow is still deep (and soft in the afternoon) which makes for slow, hard walking.
