Glen Doe

The Glen Doe hydro electric scheme is operational again so presumably access for walkers is back to normal.  Maybe.

I`ve been leaving this one until the work has died down.On taking a closer look at the map however I think I might go via Glen Tarff.
I believe there is a "surprise" awaiting at the very head of the glen :)

We did the Corbett just as the access roads were being built and got some disapproving looks as we stood aside to allow huge JCBs etc to pass. Friendly waves were not reciprocated! Glen Tarff is, I'm told, a better approach. Have fun Alex.

There used to be a substansial bothy at the head of the Glen, whether it survived the dam construction i don't know. I signed the bothy book about 15 years ago,it was a wooden construction with many of the original fixtures and fittings still intact.
